Launch of Venture Catalyst and the UC Davis-HM.CLAUSE Innovation Center

The UC Davis Office of Research and HM.CLAUSE invite you as a special guest to celebrate the launch of Venture Catalyst and the UC Davis — HM.CLAUSE Innovation Center.

Venture Catalyst, a unit within the Technology Management & Corporate Relations division of the UC Davis Office of Research, provides campus-wide support services, infrastructure and resources to assist researchers in creating successful start-up companies. Venture Catalyst collaborates closely with the university’s Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship and with departmentally focused drivers of translational research including the Engineering Translational Technology Center (ETTC) within the College of Engineering.

Most recently, Venture Catalyst has partnered with HM.CLAUSE, a global leader in the production and sale of vegetable seeds, to launch a new business incubator that will advance regional innovation in the life sciences. The center will support UC Davis start-ups across all life science disciplines and is the first of its kind in our region, providing access to over 3,000 ft2 of equipped biochemistry, molecular biology and chemistry lab space. It also offers contiguous greenhouse facilities for the benefit of ag-tech ventures. This unique collaboration between local industry and the university goes beyond physical boundaries, providing a distributed network of resources aimed at guiding university entrepreneurs toward success.

The launch event will include guided tours of the facility and brief remarks by Mark Stowers, vice president and head of Global Research and Development at HM.CLAUSE; Harris Lewin, vice chancellor for research; and Dushyant Pathak, associate vice chancellor of Technology Management & Corporate Relations at UC Davis.

Take the Chiles Rd Exit, EXIT 75, toward Mace Blvd

Turn Left onto Chiles Rd (Chevron is on the corner)

Take the first right onto Mace Blvd (Mace Blvd is the same as County Road 104)

Drive approx. 2 miles to 28605 COUNTY ROAD 104 (driveway will be on the left hand side)
